Well, no pictures but here is a little update (we've been getting wind of something about a lame blog that is never updated...): We are in Coralville Iowa, about to take off. Today we will end up in Cleveland, a few hours from our final destination! Most of you know by now, but I was accepted to NYU's accelerated nursing program. It is a 15 month program, after which I will have a bachelors in nursing. I am so excited. Everything has been a pretty big leap of faith so far as we still don't know exactly what we are getting ourselves into, but we are excited all the same.
Now for the road trip: after about 30 hours of packing and repacking the car (it was all Mark's packing genius might I add) we took off, a few days later than expected. The first few times we packed the car it was too top heavy and we just didn't feel safe driving. Third times a charm and after Mark worked his magic you can't even tell that the car is carrying a few hundred extra pounds. But hey, we just couldn't leave our camping gear at home...we want to explore the beautiful east coast!!!
Anyway, we left on Monday the 4th at 5pm and then made it to Cheyenne, WY (thanks Drew for hooking us up with the great room) the first night. Last night we were supposed to stay in Omaha with the parents of our good friends the Evanson's but alas threats of the 'arctic blast' storm that was supposed to hit Omaha kept us going. Around midnight we rolled into Coralville. We are now rested and excited and ready to go!
We have been listening to this great book on tape called the maze runner - it's gotten us through some looonnnsssss stretches of nothing.
Anyway, we'll be in NYC for at least the next two years, so come visit people! We have two aerobeds waiting! Thanks to our families for all your love and support getting us to this point, it's been pretty stressful and overwhelming at times and we have really depended on you to keep our spirits high. Thanks so much for everything. Love you all.
