We are loving New York! Things have been really great. We are so lucky to be staying with our Leila's cousin, Neibaur, and his wife, Leila, and their son Paulo. It has been great to be with family as we start things out here.
Five tireless days of apartment searching led us to around 40 apartments, many different neighborhoods, and a variety of brokers. While our favorite was definitely Ed from the Bronx (Bond Real Estate...if anyone needs a broker, we have you covered!), we applied for an apartment yesterday from a different broker within his company. It's really sweet--we should find out Friday if it's ours!
Today was a warm, sunny day. I was invited for a phone interview with Teach for America (apparently they liked my essay and resume enough!), Libby had her Nursing School orientation, and picked up her new purple scrubs! I'm going to try and take a photo everyday and post it somewhere, not sure how yet. I don't think it will be on here. Here are today's, though. The first two are around 42nd, if my memory works. And the last one is on Broadway down on like 2nd street. Lib and I bought a cool new point-and-shoot, and it's been fun to start using it a bit. Super handy, and it seems to be producing some sharp images.
