Confession...

So around fifth or sixth grade I started to have this obsession with frogs, specifically rain forest tree frogs. I thought they were the cutest little things ever - they were tiny, beautiful and many times very poisonous. Looking back I find it a little odd that a little girl liked the slimy creatures so much, especially since that liking followed me all the way into high school (no, not beyond if you are wondering). Naturally I loved everything that was little and frog-like. I even used to have this collection of little frogs that I displayed on my dresser, which I thought it was so cool.
Last night I was doing some re-gutting of my closet and found these little figures neatly packed away. I got that out for nostalgia sake and was surprised at how cool they actually, truly are. They are like little art pieces...I had to snap a couple pictures of my beloved little frogs. Please enjoy.

Size reference...these frogs are about the size of a marble or two.

Nice, Lib! I especially like the yellow-green one in the first picture...the 'coqui' (native Puerto Rico). I'm glad you shared this little childhood fascination!

Libby, You may have forgotten your collection, but have you forgotten how to act like a frog with your little extended fingers? That's a picture I want to see.

Very nice! Now that's a collection to build on for the rest of your life! Can't wait to see your apartment next visit--we'll see if the frogettes have taken over. Keep digging in that closet!! pjm

Sweet lib. Mark, you need to put a link to your photography website. I was showing Coates the "Lark" and I couldn't remember your photography site. Let me know what it is.
