I GOT THE JOB...and the trip!!!

I am the new care coordinator for a local non-profit called Community Health Connect and I couldn't be more excited. I started volunteering for them about three months ago translating medical appointments for spanish speakers in the area and will now be working 20 hours a week arranging appointments, handling cases, arranging health fairs etc. I can't wait to start! What a big blessing to get a job in public health before you graduate!!
The other great news is that Mark and I still get to go on our trip to Morocco and Spain. I applied for this job about a month ago and when I didn't get it we set up the trip. If I had gotten the job there would have been no trip....but now my boss is letting us keep the trip as is and have the position. We have been the recipients of some pretty big blessings and we are so, so grateful. Life is good to us.

Congrats! Sometimes it takes organizations awhile to hire the best person. It sounds like a great opportunity and I am sure you'll do great.

p.s. I think we'll move to Utah--where else can you get six weeks of vacation after six week of work!!

We are so excited to hear updates from your trip! I'm sure Mark is prepping his photo stuff already...then again, MCAT and school probably mean he'll end up waiting until the night before the trip to do that...can't wait to hear the details.

I'm so jealous and can't wait to see pictures of Spain. Definitely one of my favorite places in the world. Congrats on the job.
