Context: Life's little luxuries make me so happy. One of them is Cherry Carmex Chapstick. Something about it reminds me of childhood, I just love it. So I shared some with Mark - what you ask, was his response after trying it?

Life here in NYC continues to be wonderful and busy. I'm running a half marathon that I again have not prepared for nearly enough with all my wonderful girlfriends from NYU. I'm done just 4 weeks - I can hardly believe it. I want to get a job in the ER so bad! It's a long shot, but I can always try. Mark looks forward to quitting work in a couple months and playing for the summer before we head up to Rochester for him to start med school this Fall. We are really going to miss the city - driving everywhere just isn't what it used to be. Who'd ever thought I was praising the subway system (well, sort of...). Anyway, life is good. We are blessed, and happy...and Mark really does say the darnedest things.

Good luck with the half marathon - that is so awesome! And yah for almost being done! I hope you get into the ER...that's so amazing. So many people that you help and bless their lives, Libby! So amazing!
Do you remember the Engs? They didn't have any kids our age...but Albert and Kathleen were around Emy's age. Anyways, Albert Eng is in my ward where I live (small world)...today we were talking about how much we love the Cannons...and it made me miss you!
Dont give up on that ER job, I never finished pre-med at NYU, but once I was sick and went to NYU Medical Center downtown several years later and who should be an emergency room doctor but one of my former classmates :)
You can for sure get a ED job!!! They are always desperate for nurses cuz there's really high turnover. And its such a fun job, you'll love it, its a great place to start cuz you get a really broad base of experience!
