Be Patient, But Be Persistent

I was trying to understand some things this morning and found this great talk:
'Prophetic Priorities' by Elder Richard Hinkley.
It goes through six things we can do in our lives to live closer to God,
through following the counsel of our Prophet.

I loved it and found it very helpful.
Read it here.

From Mom Miller:

Great talk! I'm teaching Gospel Doctrine Sunday and found a quote I can use to supplement my lesson. Thanks, Libby!!!!

1. Temple work and building temples

2. Paying tithing

3. Avoiding unnecessary debt

4. Extending forgiveness to others

5. The family

6. Personal testimony

These are great priorities. I have this sense that I cannot do everything that the Lord has asked us to do--it seems overwhelming to me--someday perhaps--but not today. The expectations would cause me to run faster than I am able...or at least that is my fear. So, it's nice to see a disciple frame up six action items that should help us sort through our priorities in life. I know that I could easily invest more of my energy and focus into a few of them. We're blessed to be reminded regularly of the many opportunities to align our lives with gospel principles. Dad
