Libby is in Washington D.C. for the next five days! She will be learning how to lobby effectively, and ultimately will lobby to her Illinois Congressman about appropriating more funds for public health causes!
I am very impressed with this. One of the things I love about Libby is her passion...she really loves what she does, and she puts her heart into it. I think it is a key to her many successes. I am excited that she is having this great experience!

Things back here are swell. For example, look at this beautiful creation I made out of egg plant and other wonderful vegetables.
Oh wait, that was Libby that made that like two weeks ago. Old photo (but really, an incredible creation).
Oh yes, here is me. In a girly apron, considering doing the dishes. (apologies to Libby for showing off our less than perfectly clean kitchen...I will get whooped for this one :) ).
Ahh yes. Here is my creation. Two days worth of PASTA! Upon a thorough boiling, I am positively certain that I destroyed all useful nutrients.
What's this, you say? Oh, apparently since Libby has been gone Mark has started watching bird movies. Yikes.
Did I mention that I slept through my class til almost 11 today? (Granted I was up at 4:30, but still...come on.)

p.s. That bird movie is stinkin' awesome. It's called "Winged Migration", and was nominated for an Academy Award. I hate birds (*just kidding) but i liked this movie. No, it was really good! Surely some of the best cinematography i have ever seen.
