EasterEasterEaster

Hard to believe that such a superb weekend was followed by an equally superb Sunday...but it was Easter. Easter included:

1. Easter Morning German Pancakes! I had forgotten all about this tasty dish until Wynn reminded me of it a few weeks ago...so delicious with lemon and powdered sugar. Mark was absolutely enthralled by it's shape and size (the previous one I made was a little deflated, oops)!! And yes, we finished off the whole thing.
2. A morning mountain walk (in which Mark and I sported very chiq outfits)...and we finally discovered where all the hippies go on Sunday in Provo...Rock Canyon!
3. Church with Miss Emily Miller and the Miller clan: special occasion to hear Em's talk, which was great, by the way...
4. And last but definitely not least was Easter dinner with Mom and Dad, hosted by Wynn and James. Where do I start?! Wynn did a fabulous job with the decor - my favorite was the origami flowers she made (brilliant). Along with the beautiful table setting the two Vegg heads made a delicious African dish with coconut curry, mom brought a great dodo salad and we finished up with a walk (partly inspired by our desires to see why on earth there would be 3 Provo cop cars gathered on the corner out front...but our inquiry was fruitless. The walk on the other hand was the perfect remedy for our stuffed stomachs), a stirring game of Blokus and desert! It was a sweet time together and we were all able to feel so much more the real importance of Easter surrounded by those we love. Our only regret was that Dane, Emy, Ben and Clarita could not join us. In all, it was a wonderful day with some great highlights...all due in large part to our family!p.s. see the Cannon blog for more Easter pics!

Mark, nice hair! Did the military guys discuss their new and improved grooming standards? You might be okay...given that you adjusted to a missionary haircut without any issues. Libby, this series of pictures is the first time I have seen your hair down and stright...looks nice! Nice outfits for the canyon trip...I think I saw those styles in the Patagonia catalogue--didn't think they'd catch on...but, guess I was wrong! pjm
